Our Initiatives

Alet Uys Attorneys Inc. is committed to giving back to the community through structured Pro Bono and Mediation Initiatives. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality legal representation and mediation services, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Our pro bono programme is not ad hoc charity — it is a structured commitment with clear criteria, transparent processes, and genuine outcomes. We dedicate a portion of our practice to assisting those who need legal help most but cannot afford it.

Through Resolve Mediation, we also offer reduced-cost mediation services for qualifying families, ensuring that children and parents can access amicable dispute resolution even when resources are limited.

Eligibility

Pro Bono Criteria

To ensure we can help those who need it most, please review the criteria below.

Financial Need Total net household income must fall below a threshold that genuinely prevents access to private legal services. Proof of income is required.

Area of Expertise The nature of the dispute must fall within our areas of expertise: family law, labour law, or contract law.

Genuine Need The matter must involve a genuine need for legal assistance that cannot be adequately addressed through other means.

Good Faith Engagement The applicant must be willing to engage in good faith, provide full disclosure, and cooperate throughout the process.
5
South African Resident The applicant must be a resident of South Africa with a valid matter within the jurisdiction.
